Good design is all about good fonts. Ask any graphic designer, and he or she will explain that skill with typeface is one of the keys to good design. Obviously, you’ve got to have the tools. In other words, you’ve got to have fonts. So where do you get them? That’s what we want to tell you today.

First of all, there’s something you need to know. Sharefaith predesigns everything we make, so you don’t have to do much. Our Church PowerPoint Templates come with title slides, Scripture slides, announcement slides, welcome slides, and benediction slides. You shouldn’t need a fancy font for a title or anything. Welcome Video Loops are designed with welcome messages.

The cool thing is, Sharefaith graphics also come in no-text versions. So, a PowerPoint or background can easily be downloaded without a single letter. Our worship videos, one of our most popular assets, is another text-free resource that you can use. If you’re working with this type of design, you’ll need some fonts. And if you want some nice Christian fonts other than Arial or Helvetica.

We have tested each of the following sites, but cannot guarantee that they will always work for you. Each site offer downloads for both Macs and PCs. All fonts will work in your preferred design program or word processing software.

  • Blambot. These fonts are primarily designed for gamers, not church bulletin designers. But at least they have fonts. Some are zany, but some are good. About half of the fonts are available for free.
  • 1001 Free Fonts. The name says it all. I have found some very nice fonts on this site. The fonts are well-categorized, making it sort of easy to find which the style that you’re looking for.
  • DaFont. This site has perhaps the largest collection of free font downloads. It’s very popular among designers.
  • Urban Fonts. Also a great collection of fonts, well organized into various categories. Includes mostly Windows fonts.
  • Search Free Fonts. Huge selection here. All free. This site also has a nice collection of articles relating to typography.
  • Fontspace. Nearly 15,000 font options are available on Fontspace. Good selection and easy downloads.

Ready to get your design mojo on? The best way to get started is by using Sharefaith graphics. Begin your journey here.
