We know how frustrating it can be when only one person can update and maintain the church website. Not anymore. Your Sharefaith church website gives you the ability to assign as many user accounts as you want to. Now, you can delegate who updates what section of the website. The tech-guy can update the media page, while your pastor only works on the devotional page. The rest can be updated and assigned to whomever you choose.
Log into your Sharefaith Church Website Control Panel.
- On your left sidebar navigation menu, click on “Users.”
- In the new window that opens, you will see a list of all the current users and their roles.
- To add new users, simply click on the “Add New” button next to the USER title at the top.
- A new window will open, asking for more account details.
- Type in the name, email address, and a unique password for each user.
- Click on the “Send Password” box to notify the new account holder by email.
- Click on the drop-down button next to the Role selection and choose the person’s role.
- The role can be either Administrator, Editor, Author or Contributor.
- There should only be one Administrator. The administrator is ideally one person who is in charge of the entire website, and would be the most knowledgeable in working with websites. To prevent users from breaking the website, don’t give admin privileges to just anyone. The administrator has the most control over the website as a whole. Your tech-guy may be an Editor, as he uploads and prepares the Media page. The pastor and rest of the team may be Authors or Contributors, as they update pages and post new content.
- When you are finished entering the information, click on the blue “Add New User” button.
- Your new user will now appear in your User page.
- From the User page, you can easily change the role of any user.
- When you make any change, click on the APPLY button for the change to take effect.
