It seems that whenever we turn on the news or scroll through our Facebook feed, there is always another tragedy happening. Tragedy knows no bounds, it can strike at any moment and can happen to anyone without regard to the trail it leaves behind. Whether it is a natural disaster or an act of terrorism, it’s hard to lose a loved one or witness others lose loved ones no matter what the circumstances are. You get this overwhelming sense of sadness and it can be unbearable for some. Remember 9/11? The attack on the World Trade Center resulted in a massive number of lives lost. Hurricane Katrina brought a different kind of destruction in 2005, along with the recent hurricanes (Harvey and Irma) that hit the southeastern United States. Unfortunately, tragedy is not contained in major disasters or acts of foreign terrorism. A mass shooting that claimed the lives of at least 58 people and injured more than 500 others occurred October 1st, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. Tragedy, both small and great, carries a heavy impact.

Where do you turn? There are a number of stories in the Bible of disasters that ultimately led to provision. It exemplifies what we know about God.
