During the National Worship Leader conference in Kansas, there was a predominant theme of worshipful direction. If you are a worship leader or pastor, make sure you explain, educate and teach your music team the difference. When having a conversation, you do not talk to the individual in the third-person, but instead you refer to them directly.
In worship, make sure your music and song choices does the same. Sing to God, not about God. Instead of saying “He”, sing “you”. Sing to God. He is not absent. He is right there. You will notice the difference and your congregation will too!
