April 2010 marks the 42nd anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In his life, he proclaimed a message of freedom for millions. In his death, he gave a stirring call to the justice of equality. In his legacy, he encourages millions more in the triumph of social justice.

To commemorate the legacy of MLK, the National Memorial Project Foundation is constructing a fitting memorial in the nation’s capital. The purpose of the monument is to honor Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and his contributions to the world through nonviolent social change.
