We wanted to give you a heads-up about some new releases that we’ve rolled out at Sharefaith recently. We’ve got a ton ready in preparation for Easter Sunday Passover. You can keep up with all of these by clicking the “new” tab on the far right of the top menu, or you can just click here. Now, click “read more” below to check out this attractive new Passover PowerPoint.
The imagery displays a picture of unleavened bread…
“They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it.” (Exodus 12:8)
It also contains the Hebrew word, pesach, which means “Passover”…
“In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord‘s Passover [pesach].” (Exodus 12:11)
The theme of the PowerPoint is “remembering the deliverance of God,” which is precisely what the Passover is about…
“For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.” (Exodus 12:23)
The powerpoint also features the text from Exodus 3:14, in which God revealed His covenant name to Moses, and promised a future deliverance…
“God said to Moses, ‘I am who I am.’ And he said, ‘Say this to the people of Israel, “I am has sent me to you.'”
In the end, this PowerPoint is intended to compel the same kind of response with which the Israelites responded when they heard about God’s intended deliverance…
“And the people bowed their heads and worshiped.” (Exodus 12:27)
