Centuries beforehand, prophets foretold the coming of the Messiah. At epiphany, His presence was actually celebrated. The three wise men, led by a star, journeyed from far away to see the King. This is the time of year, observed in liturgical calendars, that Christians remember the revelation of Jesus as a human. It is only because He came as a human being, that he could die for the sins of human beings, and be our Savior.
