The book of James says, "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." This scripture is not referring to a heavenly crown, which we are also promised, but an earthly crown. It promises those who remain steadfast will enjoy an abundant life here on earth.
