Valentine’s Day is another big holiday with all the retailers and candy companies. If we don’t look closely, we could easily think that Valentine’s Day is a day in which we get a card, flowers and chocolate for our loved ones. However, Valentine’s Day is not about these things, it is about love. And where else should we turn to to learn about love other than the Bible? Kids love Valentine’s Day! Why? They love exchanging Valentine’s Day cards at school and church and stocking up on (hopefully) enough candy to last them until Easter. But are we missing a chance to teach our children about love? In today’s culture, the world says that love is a feeling that we quickly fall in and out of. And that if we don’t feel it, it must not be real. While there may be some truth to world’s definition of “love”, this does not match up to what the Word of God has to say about it.
