Faith, as you will soon discover, is not as easy as it looks. The first hurdle is that YOU CAN’T SEE IT! Faith is not a tangible object that can be easily identified or measured. There are a lot of Bible verses about faith, what it is, how to grow in it, or how to be encouraged by it. We know faith is a real thing, but how do you know if your faith is strong or weak, present or absent? What do you do to increase your faith? George Mueller, a Christian Evangelist from the early 1800’s, provided the quote above. He knows a thing or two about trials. He is known starting the Ashley Down Orphanage in Bristol, England and many other orphanages and schools throughout England. During his life, he cared for more than 10,000 orphans, and it was not short on trials and hardships. His success came from standing firm in the midst of the severe testings.<\/p>\n
When there are hardships in life, the purpose is not to try to avoid them, but to face them head-on with the strength of what Paul says, “I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that\u00a0the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9) .We are not in the battle alone God is with us. Follow these steps every day for a one whole month and see what that does for your faith.<\/p>\n
1. Pray<\/h3>\n
Pray each day for 30 days that God will increase your faith. Plead with Him to hear your voice and thank Him for all he has done in your life, everything that you have. Ask Him to transform your heart and to change your perspective on the sufferings of life.<\/p>\n
2. Read Scriptures On Faith<\/h3>\n
Meditate on the verses of faith and write out your thoughts and feelings. Use the 30 Days Of Faith Challenge below and ready one Bible verses about faith per day. Let these Scripture passages work inside your heart \u00a0and mind. Let God build you up through His Word on a daily basis.<\/p>\n
3. Fellowship<\/h3>\n
Invite other people who will build up your faith and encourage you on this 30 Days Of Faith Challenge with you. Jesus always had people around him that strengthened him. In today’s world, we are more connected than ever. You don’t have to meet with someone in person. A phone call goes a long way… but beware of text messages because they lack the personal touch (and tone). \u00a0Perhaps calling someone and praying with them over the phone is a good place to start.<\/p>\n
4. Take Action<\/h3>\n
Download and print out this 30 Days Of Faith Challenge, below. Place it in your Bible, by your mirror when you get in the morning, or on your kitchen fridge. Anywhere that will remind you to continue with the challenge. Spend a least 15 minutes each day, pray out loud to God and stand up and read each Bible verse aloud each day.
