How has God\u2019s Word encouraged and motivated you while writing and making this record?<\/i><\/strong><\/h3>\nThere were many scriptures that drove my creativity, and I notate each of them next to every lyric in the jacket of the album. The one I think of most is Luke 1:78-79. Here Zachariah looks forward to the coming of the Messiah saying “the Rising Sun will come to us from Heaven to shine on those living in darkness.”\u00a0 We need that picture for the assurance of the fullness of God’s characteristics.\u00a0 His love, joy, peace, etc, will shine into the darkness of our world and hearts as surely as the sun rises.<\/p>\n

How do you balance work, touring, and family life?<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n
Doing what I do when it comes to traveling is definitely a calling. The down side is leaving loved ones behind.\u00a0 If this ministry weren’t a calling on my life, there’s no way I could leave them as often as I do. So while I enjoy traveling and seeing more of this amazing world God created and while I certainly enjoy singing His praises with His children wherever I go, it is certainly difficult leaving my wife and three children.<\/p>\n

What encouragement could you give other worship leaders?\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n
I believe that God has given everyone the gifts, talents, abilities, and platform that they have. He expects us to do our best with what we’ve been given.\u00a0 I may struggle with pitch, technical ability, or songwriting, yet I believe the onus is on me to develop those skills.\u00a0 Excel in what God has given you, and equip yourself to the best of your ability to be a good steward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
