We released a new update for your Sharefaith Church Website template today. It is our goal to make it as easy as possible for you to edit and maintain your church’s website. This update contains a number of additional features that should make your life easier.
- WordPress 3.2 Compatible. At the top of your control panel you’ll see a notification telling you that WordPress 3.2 is available. We recommend the upgrade. Our template is 100% compatible.
- Easily upload your church logo. We added a simple upload button to add your church logo. Simply find your logo on your computer and click Upload. When your logo uploads, you’ll see a preview of it so you know how it will look. Note: Your logo should be no more than 100 pixels high and 545 pixels wide. We also recommend a PNG logo that has transparency.
- Easily upload banner images. Just like the logo, banners can now be uploaded by a simple button. You’ll see a preview of your banner image on the settings page.
- Auto crop banner images. There are numerous banner images available on our website. If you created something on your own and it is too large, then a simple cropping tool will appear. Move or resize the image selection and your image is automatically sized and cropped.
- Rearrange your banner images. Clicking and dragging your banners allows you to arrange them in whatever order you choose. The “X” in the corner will delete it.
- Unlimited banner images. No longer are you limited to four banners. (We still recommend no more than four because banners are not the the best way to share information.)
- Full size pages. Pages can now be full size by removing all the sidebar widgets from a page. We don’t recommend it for most pages. For example, your calendar can now stretch wider to make the events easier to read. Please keep in mind that text that runs the full width of the page will be a lot more difficult to read, and is also less attractive than the regular width. Note for techies: The full page width is 870px.
