Description

Bible with Chi Rho, Sacred Heart, and Candles is composed of an open Bible, propped upward and facing the viewer, surrounded by five gold candles. The Bible is drawn in black and white, with a loose, illustrated style, and lies open to the middle, with a blue and gold ribbon falling down the seam. The left hand page bears the Chi-Rho symbol, representing Christ, with the symbol of the Sacred Heart on the right, representing Christ’s divine love. On either side of the Bible, gold colored candles sit lit on top of small pieces of Holly, with the possible reference to Christ’s crown of thorns.
