Tip of the Week! – Color Themes at Kuler

When you are putting together an event or promotion for your Church or Ministry, it’s a good idea for your designs to have a color theme to make sure all the colors you use are complimentary. http://kuler.adobe.com is a site that allows you to browse color themes that have been put together by designers all around the world. By searching the most popular or highest rated themes, you can get ideas for colors that designers feel are a good mix. You can print out these themes and use them at the paint store, fabric or stationery store and even online to create a perfectly color coordinated event.

Sharefaith designers are all highly trained in color themes and have put together images that use the best practices in design so you can be assured they are the highest of quality and designed to be highly effective.

Tip of the Week! – Video Sermon Illustrations

Do you use sermon illustrations to connect your topic with a related video? This is a great method to break people out of their regular listening mode and use an interactive and compelling way of communicating.

There are many ways to make this happen. You can embed video into your presentation from YouTube, Vimeo or Tangle.com to bring in humorous or poignant ideas that will help you make your point. The recent phenomenon of Susan Boyle on the Britain’s Got Talent show in the UK was used by many to successfully get the point across not to judge a book by its cover. You can also record your own videos or have your youth put together some fun and insightful interviews with people in your Church on a particular theme you are covering. The ideas are limitless!

Sharefaith is now bringing to you some very beautiful sermon illustration videos themed around special days of the year. Our most recent is the July 4th Music Video available in the most popular video formats.

Tip of the Week! – Don’t forget MySpace

With all the talk of Twitter and Facebook these days, the social network MySpace has waned a bit in popularity. According to a Neilson study of April 2009 though, users spent nearly 5 million minutes total on MySpace during the month. The social network also ranks much higher in the teen through 35 age bracket than does Facebook. Especially in online videos, MySpace is still a very strong site for hosting content.

Having your Church on MySpace is an easy way to host youth and college videos of events as well as post sermons and photos of what’s happening in ministries of all ages. Sharefaith has a MySpace account at: http://www.myspace.com/sharefaith If you’re online, stop by and see us!
