4th of July Music Video from Sharefaith

For Independence Day, Sharefaith has created a beautiful and stirring Christian music video to show your faith in God and your love of this great nation we live in. The short film brings out the words we use in relation to our freedom and liberty and leads to the ultimate thought that we are One Nation, Under God as we state in our pledge. The stunning music , the images of our nation and the words of our American culture come together to make this video presentation the perfect reminder for the 4th of July that God is in control.

Sharefaith members can download a high resolution version of this video here: http://www.faithclipart.com/video/4th-of-july-music-video.html

We hope you enjoy this video. Be sure to stay tuned for more inspirational video illustrations from Sharefaith in the near future.

Tip of the Week! – Twitter For Food

On July 1st, Sharefaith is joining in the Twitter For Food campaign and encouraging people to skip one meal on July 1st and use the savings to fund a world hunger organization. Twitter For Food was started by one of our Sharefaith team members to bring awareness and connection to the people around the world facing starvation. Did you know that over 18,000 children die of hunger every day around the world? You can help by bringing awareness to the campaign with your Twitter account or create your own campaign for funding your favorite hunger relief organization locally or globally.

Check out the Twitter For Food website when you have a chance. You can see what a little time and creativity can do in getting thousands of people around the world to focus giving hope to “the least of these.” Also take a look at the beautiful and contemporary sermon PowerPoint template Sharefaith has put together on the topic of Hope.

Tip of the Week! – Don’t forget MySpace

With all the talk of Twitter and Facebook these days, the social network MySpace has waned a bit in popularity. According to a Neilson study of April 2009 though, users spent nearly 5 million minutes total on MySpace during the month. The social network also ranks much higher in the teen through 35 age bracket than does Facebook. Especially in online videos, MySpace is still a very strong site for hosting content.

Having your Church on MySpace is an easy way to host youth and college videos of events as well as post sermons and photos of what’s happening in ministries of all ages. Sharefaith has a MySpace account at: http://www.myspace.com/sharefaith If you’re online, stop by and see us!

Make sure you also check out our Christian themed, FREE MySpace background images. Download one today and share your faith on MySpace!

Tip of the Week! – Flag Day – A Call To Prayer

As Flag Day approaches, it’s a good time to remember to pray for our leaders and our country. The founding fathers understood the power of prayer. One can see their prayers and petitions laced through their writings and speeches along with including God in official documents. Our current social climate has drifted away from this practice, but as people of the Church we should stand strong in prayer. When we are bombarded with bad news about the economy, war, poverty and disasters, the people of God can have courage and take heart knowing that He is in control.

Sharefaith has put together some great images to help you celebrate and commemorate Flag Day and Independence Day in your Church. Use them as reminders to your congregation that when we look at the flag, we should remember to pray.

#testimonytuesday on Twitter

If you’re a twitter user, today begins #testimonytuesday.

Sharefaith on twitter ( http://twitter.com/sharefaith ) started a new trend for twitter to get Christians using the popular social networking tool to share their testimony in the short 140 characters every Tuesday.

There are other popular trends on Twitter such as #followfriday where twitter users recommend other users to follow every Friday. These trends have become ubiquitous on Twitter. Sharefaith is hoping that people will share their faith with this trend by sharing a short testimony of how God has worked and is working in their lives.

If you’re on Twitter, join us in this effort. Just start your post with “#testimonytuesday” so people can search that term and see all the people that will share their faith. Use the rest of the 140 characters you have to put your Christian walk in simple terms.
