The Ressurection Sunday School Lesson for kids explores the most important event in all the Bible: the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. There are several reasons why this story holds significant weight in the believer’s life. First, the resurrection was an undeniable witness of God’s absolute power and authority. Since God raised his own Son from the dead, so too can he raise we who have placed our faith in Jesus. Second, the resurrection confirmed the claims of Jesus – most importantly that he was the Son of God. It has been said that the claims of Jesus make him either a liar, lunatic or Lord. The resurrection showed Jesus to be the king of kings and lord of lords! Finally, the resurrection of Jesus Christ validated the Old Testament prophecies which predicted the suffering, death and triumph of God’s Messiah. The resurrection proved Jesus to be the absolute fulfillment of all that God had promised.
Hello, my name is David Choate. Two years ago, before overseeing the Sunday School lessons of Sharefaith Kids, I was a Children’s Pastor in Medford, Oregon. Being a Children’s Pastor was one of the most rewarding and challenging seasons of my life. There is nothing as wonderful as sharing the Gospel with kids! Conversely, there was nothing quite as challenging as building, maintaining and equipping a team of committed volunteers. That is why I was so excited to have the opportunity to interview and pick the brain of Janet Christian.
He Is Risen Easter Sunday School Lesson For Kids
It was an incredible series of events: Jesus was crucified, the sky turned black and the veil in the temple was torn in two. Then, early in the morning, as a new day dawned, two women made their way to the tomb where Jesus had been buried. When they arrived, nothing could have prepared them for what came next. An angel descended from heaven, an earthquake shook the tomb open, and a miraculous declaration was made: “He is not here; he has risen!” The He is Risen Easter Sunday School lesson for kids explores the greatest event in all of history – the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Matthew 27-28 Easter Sunday School lesson from Sharefaith Kids has assembled a must-have bundle of digital resources that will equip you to teach one of the greatest Bible stories of all time with creativity and confidence!

Let’s be honest, the best part of Sunday School is the kids. Well, serving God and the kids. There is nothing quite like being around children; their laughter, questions, blunt statements and refreshing honesty – it’s the best! But the more time you spend around kids, the more you begin to discover that Sunday School children fall into some identifiable categories.
Exhibit A – The Little Angel. This vibrant child is one of the many reasons you LOVE serving in Sunday School. Like a sponge, they soak up every bit of your lesson and then with wide-eyes, tell you “Thanks!” They love your teaching and you love them for loving your teaching. But be careful, these teacher’s pets often struggle with trying to be perfect. It’s important to let them know that we all, their favorite teacher included, make mistakes.
Of course, we can’t forget – The Cryer. With a heart so tender, it constantly teeters on the verge of a full-blown, tear-shedding, class-engulfing meltdown, this precious one always has your FULL attention. It’s a scary thing to be dropped off in a room full of strangers, so can you really blame the tender-hearted for getting a little emotional? Make your room a welcoming, safe place and you’ll get to experience one of life’s great joys: watching the Cryer get dropped off with a smile on their face – excited to see you, their new best friend!
Admit it. You’ve encountered these two, and are now curious about the rest of our list! Read 10 students every Sunday School teacher will recognize, and discover that, as Sunday School teachers, we have a lot in common!
