Anyone who has responsibility for the work of others understands the unique challenges that come with managing people. The good news is, God has provided us with a playbook to help us – the Bible.

I want to share 25 bible verses that I have personally used to encourage and strengthen myself when I had the responsibility of managing other people.

  1.  “Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2
  2. “A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.”  Proverbs 1:5
  3. “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”  Proverbs 11:14

  22. “A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.” Proverbs 29:23
  23. “The fear of man brigs a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” Proverbs 29:25
  24. “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”  1 Timothy 6:10
  25. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”  Galatians 6:9
